I spoke with Microsoft support and they advised that they are aware of the problem, but do not currently have a solution.

I am openning it with DiskMouth Here are some of the things I try so far: I download again (for more than 10 times) same outcome.

Same outcome. I open another user for Mac and download from there.

They say the problem is from the Apple side (Doubtful.) So what else I can do Any ideas.

I spent 4 hrs with them on the phone and chatting online only to be told to go and chat with Apple, they (the Microsoft engineering department) cant fix it.

How can every other DMG file install just fine, aside from this one Macbook PRO (2015), OSX 10.10.4.

I agree that the file is likely corrupt in some way (all other downloaded DMGs unpackage and install fine) but I dont believe that its from the download process.

It is likely, as you say, a crappy image on the MS website that needs to be updated in order to work properly with OSX 10.10.4.

My only hope is that there is away around it in OSX by altering some settings.

What eventually worked was using a different browser (Chrome), and accessing the install file through this site: ultureen-US Im not sure it didnt take a few tries to do it, I have a feeling the issue is on Microsofts side.

In any event, one of the download tries eventually worked fine, I put my product key in the software and everything is running fine.

At least part of the problem is their support team has absolutely no idea what they are doing, even at Tier 3.

The tier 3 support rep I talked to actually wanted to use an archiver to try and open the disk image.

Unfortunately, the download suggested here by JustTed only works if you have a license key and Ive moved over to a subscription.

They should be calling me back in about 10 minutes, but who knows if they actually have a solution or if they are just going to fool around some more.

Their advice ranged from complete elementary recommendations (i.e., try a different browser) to pointless and clearly a waste of time (have you tried downloading in incognito mode in Chrome).

Most of the time, I felt like they were moving the cursor on my screen just to make it look like they were doing something.

Of course, they did not call back at the agreed upon time which meant I was in a meeting when they called over an hour later.

They left a message telling me that I could upgrade to Office 2016 because it would work with Exchange Server 2008.

Im still nowhere, but at least I didnt have to spend an entire day getting there.

After a few attempts with the Microsoft online chat, I got a hold of someone who took control of my computer and downloaded a different Office 2011 installation image.

That one worked with no problems.

Not sure if this means anything to anyone else, but the image was titled X19-49597.dmg.

It was 967MB. The one that came from the MS 365 site was 966MB.

Using different browsers to download from the Office 365 Site didnt help at all.

However, after trying again, Ive noticed the download size has gone from 1.1 GB to 966 MB which is the supposed size of the correct file.

This would be different than the version I downloaded just this morning.
